The following figures are averages:

58 to 100 microns - the diameter of a hair. But since the section of hair is oval, it can not determine the full accuracy. Micron is one millionth of a meter or one thousandth of a millimetre therefore need to gather from 10 to 20 hairs in one place, to achieve a thickness of 1 mm

from 120,000 to 150,000 - the number of hairs

250 - number of hairs in a square centimetre of scalp - usually this figure ranges from 200 to 300 depending on the area on the scalp

6 m2 - All of hair length 20 cm This is an important figure, we consider a shampoo - then we must wash area measuring six square meters!

1.3 g - weight of 1kub.sm. hair

As summarize all these figures we see that produces hair to 36 meters per day, 1.1 km. per month, or more than 13 km. per year!

Since hair is "produced" from the root tip of the hair so long is 12 centimetres a year. But as per one hair growth cycle is 3 years, rarely seen hair longer than 1 meter.

World record for hair length 4.2 m. If this hair is growing at normal speed, would mean that she is 35 years!

50 to 100 - the number of hairs that we lose everyday

100 grams - the weight that a hair can withstand. Therefore strand of 100 hair can withstand the burden weighing 10 kg. And all hair weight 12 tonnes!
