Does stress cause hair loss?

Stress is a risk factor for the onset of hair loss

In recent years stress more often associated with hair loss. More people reported hair loss occurred after the experience of stressful and more doctors seek medical connection between the two states.
What happens to our bodies when we experience stress?
When a person is subjected to stress, chemicals in the body transmit signals to the hair follicles and the hair goes into a resting phase. During this stage of the hair, it grows. Over the next few months your hair will normally drop, but new growth will have. This inequality can lead to thinning hair and possibly lead to hair loss.
After a stressful episode in your life, follicles remain in a resting phase for some time and new hair will start to grow after 3-6 months.
In more prolonged and intense stress, this process is extended.
Hair loss as a result of stress is temporary. If stress is too long or if hair loss cause new stress, the condition can become permanent. Usually, after eliminating the stress, after about six months to resume normal mechanism of hair growth and hair-growth will soon be seen. Hair loss will be forgotten and healed by itself.
